<p>Increasing pullulation has led to an increase in agricultural production. However, agricultural activities generate large quantities of waste in many countries. Agricultural waste management along the value chain is problematic for the majority of the actors, hence large quantities of waste are being disposed of indiscriminately causing a nuisance to the environment. The actors (farmers, middlemen, wholesalers, retailers, processors, consumers, etc) incorporate and plough the waste directly into the soil, deposit it into landfills, and mostly burn the waste generated.<br><br></p>
